To meet the needs of our ongoing research activities, the PMML group periodically has openings for research professionals and graduate students. If your skills and aspirations meet any of the following opportunities, you are invited to send in your resume. The resume should contain a Statement of Objectives that highlights the primary research areas in PMML in which you would like to make a contribution, as well as the major skills that you would add to the PMML team. The resume should also be accompanied by a detailed cover letter that expands upon the Objectives statement.

As listed on our Research Programs page, the research activities in PMML span the following scientific and technical areas:

  • Excimer Laser Process Technologies for Displays and Microelectronics
  • Next Generation Lithography Technologies for Nanoscale Devices
  • Smart Skins: Multifunctional Sensors on Large-Area, Flexible Substrates
  • Massively Parallel Maskless Lithography Technologies
  • Optoelectronic Envelope Technologies for Energy Efficiency and Recycling
  • Conformable Lithography on Nonplanar, Large-Area Surfaces
  • Photonic Circuits: High-Speed Optical and Electronic Interconnects

POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW / RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The candidates must have a Ph.D. in the field of electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, or materials science. They should have demonstrated expertise in experimental and theoretical aspects of at least one of the areas of research listed above. The candidates will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, and will be able to interact with other research scientists and students having expertise in all of the research areas listed above. A sound scientific foundation, broad experimental skills, desire to work in a team environment, and good written and verbal communication skills will be important criteria in our selection.
